Nuestras Voces: Construyendo Lazos de Unión

Friday, June 25, 2021, 1:00 AM - 1:30 AM

The role of a community liaison is to bring people together. It requires communication, participation, understanding and support for a diverse group of people. When a community reflects and celebrates diversity within the population, people build a greater understanding and appreciation of cultural differences. Diversity can be stimulating. If can foster creative conflict. This drives innovation and collaboration. Diversity can create a community that respects and represents different viewpoints. To promote these positive effects of a diverse community, understanding of the forces that bring people together or drive them apart is necessary. Community liaisons exist to bridge the cultural divide.
During this next Nuestras Voces, June 24that 6PM, meet some of these community “connectors.” Listen in as they discuss what it means to build cross-cultural understanding and how they do it. This free, virtual event is presented in Spanish.
